My problem is I have an computer that was being used as a network server in an office it has microsoft server 2003 on it and I would like to delete all the information from it and start again. Then I would be installing windows vista.
At the moment when I try and format it, it says I can’t because it is connected to other computers (which it isn’t).

Would doing something like changing the setting of the ’sharing of computer’ help?

Or is there something else that can be done?

If i start my computer regularly it will only work for about five min on the internet until it slows down and finally freezes up. If I start up in safe mode under networking it works fine but the resolution is bad. What can I do to fix this problem?

my internet is being temermental too it takes ages to register on my pc and cuts out every hour or so. I am a sole user and I also have a LAN connection too, not sure if im meant to have both internet and LAN. My computer runs on windows xp professional.
